These heritage beauties come from the breeding mind of horticulturalist Luther Burbank in 1906 in Santa Rosa, California. The gorgeous exterior of purple/dark red skin compliments beautifully the tequila sunrise interior. The light, delicate slightly tart skin gives way to a fruit punch wow on the inside. Enjoyed best (in my opinion) in a slightly semi soft stage. This fruit is truly one of Luther Burbank's greatest accomplishments and has been used extensively in many breeding trials for the lovely pluot creations we now offer.
