When it comes to heirlooms we don't call these seconds. We consider them farmer grade because it is what our family, employees and friends eat. They are the heirlooms that have funny shapes or other imperfections. They aren't overripe or splitting or oozing (those traits I would put in the seconds category). They can hang around for the week in the box and be eaten throughout the week or made into an amazing salsa. I can't guarantee which varieties come in a box but I can assure you that it will be a rainbow of colors with varying degrees of ripeness.
